The New Setup

A few months back I finally decided on a turntable upgrade I had been considering for a long time. I went with a Rega P3 and although I was a little nervous about which table to go with I have to say I couldn't be happier with how this sounds. I also wanted to include some shots of the beautiful new cabinet I received back in January.

A few specifics for anyone interested:

Turntable - Rega P3

Amplifier - Marrantz 2230

Cabinet - Built by Darrick from Killscrow

Speakers - Dynaco A25 (1969-70s)

Speaker stands - Had these made by a guy in Arkansas who welds speaker stands! They are filled with sand and made to fit the A25s perfectly

Hike to Blue Lake

This past weekend we had a chance to hike to the base of Mt. Toll, just above Blue Lake. It was my first big Colorado hike. The views were beautiful and there was always something to look at. I am posting a few pictures below but you can also see an Exposure story I posted that contains all the images here

Also This was also my first real chance at getting to use my Garmin Epix. I have had this watch for almost a month and had the opportunity to take it out on some smaller hikes but this was the first long hike with some decent elevation gain. You can see the details of the trip that were tracked using my Epix here

I am constantly learning more about this device and it continues to surprise me. I am a huge statistics nerd so getting to go home and download so many details off the watch is huge. Also being able to record your entire trip and then use the Trackback feature to find your way out (if there aren’t any trails) is awesome. I will be putting a more in-depth review up on my blog once I get to use it more for anyone who is curious.

Longwood Gardens - Kennett Square, PA

This weekend we met up with a group of friends at Longwood and grabbed some lunch afterwards. The weather was decent, a little cool but the plants were looking great. I’m trying to get better at taking more photos and posting more about the things I do. I really like looking back and seeing past trips and experiences over the years. I didn’t take many pictures on this particular trip (I should have taken more) but that’s something I’m working on. Here are just a few.

New Work

So I am finally getting around to putting up a few shots of an app I got to work on along with some amazing people at Crush & Lovely. I honestly havent worked anywhere that has been as fun and exciting as working at Crush. The people are amazing and we get to work on the coolest projects.

I have included some images in this post but most of them can be seen here. I was really excited to see the app get featured twice on the app store, once in the new and noteworthy section, then a few weeks later a full banner on the app store:

I have really been enjoying my time at Crush, learning a lot and really enjoying the good company. Im thankful to be able to do what I love to do to earn a living. Pretty great. I will be posting some more work soon.
